Sway: Anianiau Pair with Plumeria 24"x36"

One of my favorite paintings, "Heaven Can Wait", sold last month and I was very happy to see it went to a great home but also felt I needed to have another go at the composition. With "Sway", I wanted to keep the expansive feeling of a bountiful plumeria tree with two birds full of light and happy energy, but change the point of view just a bit.

I imagine these two 'Anianiaus are gently perched on this branch, allowing the breeze to sway them side to side with the delicate scent of plumeria wafting through the air. It reminded me of "Sway" (the Dean Martin version):

"When Marimba Rhythms start to play
Dance with me, make me sway
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore
Hold me close, sway me more

Like a flower bending in the breeze
Bend with me, sway with ease
When we dance you have a way with me
Stay with me, sway with me"
