I have compiled loads of sketchbooks and tons of sketches over the years. Especially this last year, I really bulked up my drawing time to help me compose paintings and keep things fresh.

So when Wyland Waikiki asked for pineapple, I already had some ideas involving a pineapple of two...

The composition I finally chose showcases a juicy, ripe pineapple listing to the right with an 'Akohekohe gripping the pineapple's side. I decided an 'Akohekohe would be a perfect friend for this pineapple since they share the same hairdo! What a cute pair they make!!
