Hooray for love! My little 'Amakihi are celebrating the day with a kiss and some flowers:) The Royal Poinciana is a canopy style tree that blooms orange-red in the late spring/early summer. It's a perfect spot for a mid-morning smooch session. The 'Amakihi is a Hawaiian honeycreeper that loves nectar and will eat fruits as well. They are a burst of yellow and lime-green, very easy to spot amongst the fiery hues of the Poinciana. I guess privacy isn't an issue with these guys!
