Nothing says Hawaii more to me than the yellow hibiscus and a pair of native Hawaiian birds like the 'Apapane. The 'Apapane is an endemic Hawaiian honeycreeper that feeds off the sweet nectar of Hawaiian flowers. Usually found in forested areas and higher elevation, this pair decided to take a day trip to the beach. It's not for lack of sunscreen that their plumage is red, but their red feathers hide the blush of love splashed across their faces:)
