This little Kahuna is ready to have fun. He's an 'Akohekohe, white-crested Hawaiian honeycreeper. The 'Akohekohe is only living on Maui now, but this little guy is heading home to Oahu and Megan. I know he will be in good hands. He reminds me a little of Elvis during his Hawaiian movie years. He's definitely got the hunka-hunka burnin' love moves down! Aloha Little Kahuna!

I'm busy working on some larger paintings, but I'm planning to get this one started soon. Two little Golden Crowned Kinglets are sitting in a tree. A Ponderosa Pine to be exact. I love the Pom-Pom poofs of needles that extend from the ends of Ponderosa Pines. Combine the poms with a few tasty pinecones and a couple of fluffball kinglets and we have a great idea for a painting! To be continued... |
